Small Businesses: You Don’t Have to Hide…
All small business owners want to profit. Few of us do what we do just for the fun of it right? But what happens when a particular task comes along that you know needs to be done, but it seems to suck the “fun” out of everything?
Welcome to online marketing! A recent survey of over 4,000 small business owners showed that nearly 3/4 would rather attempt to do their own taxes than put together an online marketing plan!
Ouch! Do you also view marketing online as an intimidating immovable object? It doesn’t have to be! In fact, it’s in your own financial best interest to find a way to make this a reality, as more and more shoppers are using the web to decide when and where they are going to spend their money locally. (It also doesn’t hurt that online marketing is far more cost effective than direct mail, print ads and most other print media)
So what can you do to get started with an online marketing plan? The first step I recommend taking is a quick review of just how many people are looking for your products or services online each month. You have to admit, it’s not too often you get to see real world numbers such as this before deciding on a course of action right?
Here’s a brief 4 minute video I prepared demonstrating the process:

See how simple this exercise is? Once you have seen the level of interest locally for your product or service, you’ll feel more energized and pumped up to take positive action with your online marketing efforts.
